To celebrate Boyss-Sound-e-Scapes 7th year anniversary we released 7th Year Free Pack. It contains the Guitar DI Lite instrument/library. Guitar DI Lite is a sample based software instrument for NI Kontakt (full version, v5.41+), SFZ, Decent Sampler and also in plain wav format. Guitar DI Lite is made by multisampling electric guitar and it is made for sound design. It is completely "dry" and therefore must be processed by virtual or real amp! It is made that way for the versatility of use: from ambient to distorted tones, other processed guitar virtual instruments don't leave much room for such manipulation. There is the bigger version available (click here) and differences are on the last tab here, the tab named: "Lite vs Full". Guitar DI Lite is a library/instrument in the following formats: • Kontakt v5.4.1 and up, full version - (not Kontakt Player version!) • SFZ - Sforzando is a free sfz sample player that works best with the instrument [Main patch and also "no RR" version for a wider compatibility.] • Decent Sampler • Wav samples for any sampler. (96 samples in 24 bit 44.1KHz) The simple naming scheme explained in the manual. Note: some hardware samplers might require converting to 16 bit etc, refer to your hardware manual. Guitar DI Lite has 2 round-robins and 3 velocity layers for each round robin version. Size: Kontakt & SFZ: about 136 Mb unzipped Decent Sampler: about 136 Mb installed Guitar DI Lite is a light version of the Guitar DI instrument/library. It has only 2 round robins compared to its bigger brother and the samples it uses are only 24 bit 44.1KHz while the Guitar DI also has 24bit 96KHz versions of all patches which can be useful for sound design at higher sample rates. Just like the Guitar DI it has 3 velocity layers for all round robins. We thought this through and 1 round robin would make the Lite version too limited, while with 2 round robins it's usable on its own. Guitar DI Lite has only the main patch while the Guitar DI has reversed and reversed-comp patches and in some formats (Kontakt multi and Decent Sampler) a patch for mixing all 3. There are no other limitations and the license is like you purchased the full version but consider purchasing the Guitar DI, it can help further the development of new instruments.
